Star Flow Planning and Execution

Manage the complete logistics process from a single, central planning board

Save transport costs and time through chain cooperation

Star Flow Planning and Execution allows logistics service providers to manage their entire logistical process via a central planning board that can be accessed from multiple locations at the same time. From the quotation and acceptance by the client, through real-time planning at multiple levels, to execution and finally the invoicing. The dynamic planning board, which can be divided into various segments, provides every planner with the right information at any given moment. The planning board has been integrated with various partners: PTV, Ortec, Google Maps, and so on. Each notification from the planning schedule is sent to the relevant on-board computers and/or charters. Our Charter app ensures optimum control of the process. Following execution of the transport by either your own or third-party carriers, invoicing will take place via Star Flow Planning and Execution as well.

HOW STAR FLOW WORKS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For whom is Star Flow Planning and Execution intended?

Star Flow Planning and Execution is aimed specifically at logistic service providers in the trailer market. This includes parties who make lots of ferry crossings with their trucks as well as carriers who focus entirely on continental transport. The sector is characterised by extreme complexity, many interfaces and a high degree of interaction. Logistics service providers who operate in this sector can use Star Flow Planning and Execution to manage the entire chain, from the initial price quote up to and including settling the invoice.

What sets Star Flow Planning and Execution apart from other systems?

Star Flow Planning and Execution distinguishes itself through its web-based approach that centres on cooperation within the chain. All parties involved – clients, recipients, your own departments, your drivers, charters, ferry companies, etc. – can easily be connected, share information, track a cargo's movements and respond to changes in real time, all via the cloud.

How does this cloud-based approach affect the development process?

What does the Charter app do, exactly?

Logistics service providers like yourself can use the Charter app to exchange information about the job (cargo details such as quantities and weight, for instance) with a hired driver in real time via Star Flow Planning and Execution; you'll have insight into the driver's actions (arrival at and departure from the client, etc.); and thanks to a link to the route planner, the app can be used to settle costs as well.

What does Quotation Management entail?

Quotation Management organises the process of requesting a quotation on behalf of a client and responding to the resulting quotes based on a service-rates module (among other factors). Once the client has accepted the quotation, it will be automatically converted to a booking in Star Flow Planning and Execution.

Can Yellowstar organise hosting?

Yes, when you use the hosting services at Yellowstar, compared to a situation in which you are responsible for the Yellowstar applications hosting yourself, you experience a number of certainties and benefits. Roughly, these benefits can be subdivided into operational, financial and compliance aspects. Read the advantages of hosting in our article.

Does Star Flow Planning and Execution consist of a fixed package of functionalities?

Star Flow Planning and Execution is modular in nature and can be structured and expanded entirely according to the client's wishes. What's more, the web-based approach makes linking to existing systems within your organisation (such as those for execution) simple and straightforward. There's no need for you to start from scratch, as it were. Star Flow Planning and Execution aligns seamlessly to your existing in-house systems and can be fully integrated if you so desire.
